After a successful first season, "Better Call Saul" Season 2 is now in the works. According to International Business Times, Season 2 will likely revolve around the story of how Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) finally transformed from being an ordinary criminal lawyer to becoming Saul Goodman.
As the main character prepares himself to be the famous crooked lawyer, fans are reportedly wondering if the spin-off series will be featuring a cameo role from Mr. Walter White (Bryan Cranston) of "Breaking Bad" himself. However, Christian Today confirmed that the actor will not be part of Season 2.
Despite that, actor Jonathan Banks, who portrays police officer-turned-private eye Michael Ehrmantraut, also known as Mike, hinted that there will be several familiar faces from "Breaking Bad" that will appear in Season 2.
In a previous interview, Banks said that fans are going to see a number of "Breaking Bad" characters for sure although he does not know how many there will be. There are rumors circulating that these characters may be some of the criminals who were linked to Walter White when he was part of the drug syndicate and they reportedly will be seeking Saul Goodman's help.
Meanwhile, Banks was recently nominated for an Emmy award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. This is his third nomination. His first is for his performance in "Wiseguys," the second for his role as Mike in "Breaking Bad," and now for his recurring role for the first season of "Better Call Saul."
The Emmy-nominated actor thanked the writers behind the successful shows he was part of. He said that the writers give him wonderful stuff to work with and they are smart enough to keep him off on a different bend. He also reportedly felt a close connection with his character Mike.
"Better Call Saul" will be back for Season 2 in the first quarter of 2016.
