WWE Monday Night Raw Recap: Seth Rollins Breaks WWE Star John Cena's Nose on Live TV

This week's Monday Night Raw ended in a bloody note for WWE Superstar John Cena after he suffered a broken nose, thanks to Seth Rollins bashing his head on his knee.

The incident was very real and raw despite WWE's scripted nature, and viewers at home and who watched live were in shock. The present doctors had to check on Cena to assess the situation, but the 38-year-old pro wrestler still continued with the match. Being the true fighter that he is, a crooked and swollen nose didn't stop the "Trainwreck" star from winning the match and keeping his title as the United States Champion of the federation.

WWE Physician Dr. Steve Daquino confirms Cena's injuries and released an official statement regarding the incident on WWE.com: "As you can see on television tonight, John suffered from a nasal fraction. He's got quite a bit of displacement, so we sent him over to the local emergency room so he can be evaluated by the ears, nose and throat doctor who's on call tonight and see what can be done to properly repair it."

There are no updates on his recovery at the moment, but the crew at BleacherReport.com believes that as long as his condition isn't too severe, the gruesome outcome of the Cena vs. Rollins match won't affect him from defending the title in the coming SummerSlam this September.

John Cena proved to many that he is indeed a class act by gaining praise from WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley, also known as Dude Love and Mankind. Foley gave credit to Cena for finishing the epic match despite having his nose broken. He then named the rapper slash actor his Mid-Season MVP. See Mick Foley's post in full here:
