After several people shared their insights about the case of Sandra Bland being already dead or harmed when she entered the penitentiary, Texas Police Department released a video last Tuesday to confirm that allegations are false and that she, indeed, was well upon arrival, three days before she was found hanging inside her jail cell.
According to the Business Insider, Sandra Bland was brought to the Waller County Jail in Texas. Three days after she was admitted to the facility, she was later on found hanging inside her jail cell dead which indicated that she committed suicide. However, several allegations surfaced on social media which pointed out that even before she was found dead, she was already harmed or even dead before the incident occurred.
In response to the said allegations, the Texas Police officials released a video showing Bland arriving at the facility wherein she was clearly alive and well. In a statement during a news conference, Waller County Judge, Trey Duhon, announced that the reason they surfaced the video for everyone to see was to clear up the misinformation that have been circulating, speaking about how Bland died.
Apparently, Bland was found hanging dead by use of a trash bag in her cell three days after her admittance to the facility, after she was arrested for assaulting a police officer during a routine traffic stop. This led others to believe that she was harmed by said police officers when she entered the jail cell and that she was not killed by hanging but by murder.
According to CNN, the police authorities have been receiving several death threats from all corners, including the destruction of their facilities. In response to these threats, Duhon stated: "We are under cyberattack by individuals such as the group called Anonymous and clarified that she was alive and well when her mug shot was taken, the alleged time that this group says was the time of her death.
