‘Tyrese Gibson’ Called Out White Radio As Racist

Hollywood actor and RNB Singer Tyrese Gibson has called out White Radio as racist when the radio station didn't play his song.

TMZ reports that Tyrese got pissed when his song "Shame" has never been played by the DJs of White Radio. In his social media account, Tyrese didn't cut up a word and wrote an open letter in his Facebook Account.

"White radio will ONLY play R&B/Soul if it's performed by white guys ... so claims the black guy who has the #1 R&B/Soul album," Tyrese said.

Huffington Post says that Tyrese' album "Black Rose" has gone number 1 on Billboard's R&B chart but then his dilemma now is how to get an airplay for his songs.

He also recorded himself on a video which has been released by TMZ. The 36 years old RNB singer had explained "his qualms with mainstream radio stations, calling out DJs like Ryan Seacrest and Elvis Duran for not playing his latest single, Shame."

Tyrese believes that if his album is no. 1 on record charts, his songs deserve to be heard. He has explained his sentiments further by comparing the songs of Justin Timberlake and Sam Smith which get played in all channels including the "urban stations." He continued "fast and furiously" ranting on how he works hard to get the number 1 spot. He also added that if his song "Shame" would be sang by Timberlake or Smith, the song would absolutely be played by all formats of radio including the mainstream radio.

On a different note, The Weeknd (an African American R&B singer) has his latest hit "Can't Feel My Face" played on KIIS FM's and is now at present placed on third rank as song of the week. In fact, his songs have been all over the airwaves for the past months. Aside from The Weeknd, John Legend's songs had been played in all channels.

Nevertheless, for Tyrese Gibson- this would be just one of those media hype that he usually has. To date, "Black Rose" stays on no. 3 on Billboard 200 chart.
