China-based startup OnePlus has reportedly unveiled its latest smartphone, the OnePlus 2. The OnePlus 2 smartphone is touted to be an iPhone killer. The phone is said to have comparable or even better specifications and features than its known rivals, Apple's iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S6, but is sold in a much lower price, a report from Yahoo said on Tuesday.
As Yahoo noted, the OnePlus 2 smartphone boasts a powerful camera, a high resolution display of 1080p, a fingerprint sensor technology and 5.5-inch screen, which is larger than iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 models. The smartphone will be available on August 11. An optional wooden and Kevlar back panels will also be available once the smartphone is officially released.

Information Week also reported that OnePlus 2 will be powered by Snapdragon 810 SoC and will have 64 GB eMMC 5.0 flash memory and 4GB of LPDDR4 of Random Access Memory. A 16 GB model will be sold for $329 while the 64 GB version's price is pegged at $389.
The report further pointed out that the smartphone will reportedly run using Google's modified Android operating system, which is the OxygenOS. Google claimed that the OxygenOS in the OnePlus 2 smartphone will allow users to enjoy what the company described as a "pure Android experience." This means that OnePlus 2 won't have extra applications and themes compared to other smartphones powered by Android.
