'Arrested Development' Season 5 News, Update: Is the Netflix Show's Upcoming Season Currently in the Works?

Will we be seeing a Season Five for "Arrested Development?"

Last Tuesday, July 28 Ted Sarandos Netflix Head of Content Acquisition said at the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills that "We are plugging along," when he was asked regarding plans of season five for the comedy sitcom.

He also said that from the article of EW, "It's a very long complex deal to make for these guys both because the talent is very busy and working on other shows, but also because the show is owned by Fox... It is our intent to have a new season of Arrested Development. All the negotiations are underway."

While creator Mitch Hurwitz said in an interview with GQ that "My hope is to start the writers' room on it this summer, while they're making deals with the cast."

Also last April 7, 2015, in the article of zap2it, Executive Producer Brian Grazer "People are loyal to it, and we're gonna do another 17 episodes," and he also said that "So stay tuned for 'Arrested Development.'"

That's positive thing to look out for in the future, so "Arrested Development" fans out there, just be updated of upcoming news regarding speculations of upcoming season five.

"Arrested Development" was first aired at the Fox Channel up until its third season then Netflix aired its fourth season. It is a TV comedy sitcom about the Bluth families "riches to rags" story. The series won several awards started its debut in 2013. It won six Primetime Emmy Awards and one Golden Globe. Time also regarded the sitcom in 2007 as "All-TIME 100 TV Shows."

The main actors seen in the sitcom were Jason Bateman, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Michael Cera, Tony Hale, Portia de Rossi, David Cross and Alia Shawkat.
