Despite the increasing sales of Mac over the years, it is still undeniable that tech giant Microsoft holds the dominance in the industry of computer. Windows 10, codename Threshold, is said to be one of Microsoft's revolutionary OS. And below are some of the things you need to know about the new operating system that the web is talking about.

Start Menu

Most of us who grew with Windows probably went searching for the Start Menu when Windows 8 arrived. But worry no more, for in the latest version the ever reliable Start Menu is back. For desktop users who were having difficulty navigating through Windows 8 then an upgrade to the latest version would be advisable. Continuum

The new OS has a new feature called Continuum which allows the computer to detect what type of usage it is being utilized. Your computer can automatically switch to a touchscreen interface when keyboard is detached and return to the desktop interface if the keyboard is attached. Such feature is likely to be useful with hybrid laptops and other tablets.

Task View

The new operating system offers a multitasking feature different from its predecessors. It has "Task View" feature which allows user to view all open windows in one place. This would be helpful in organizing applications through multiple desktops.

You might comment that it has been long overdue, but finally Microsoft 10 supports a Ctrl + V command on the new and updated Command Prompt. You can now easily paste text on the command prompt, making the OS more user friendly than ever.

This may not interest you but the new OS is said to be free. Yup, it is free but only for users running Windows 7, 8 or 8.1, and it might be only for a limited period. And you would also have to deal on the possible cost of updated programs such as office 360.
