‘Kung Fu Panda 3′ Concept Art: Life in Panda Village

Fans have been eagerly awaiting for news about "Kung Fu Panda 3". Now, DreamWorks Animation has released concept art for the movie, which featured the life of Po's family in a panda village.

The beautifully created artistic images showed various scenes of a panda village and a few snaps of two pandas who appear to be Po and his father. According to Entertainment Weekly (EW), the touching reunion will show Po interacting with other pandas for the first time in his life. Co-director Jennifer Yuh Nelson shared that it was a great opportunity to see what makes Po different, yet the same, with his fellow pandas and family.

Nelson added that the artistic style they followed in previous "Kung Fu Panda" movies and with this third installment, showed a mix of hyper-realistic and theatrical colors. The vibrant images were reportedly meant to make the audience feel that they were there as part of the scene. The concept arts unveiled were scenic and breathtaking, particularly that of the panda village. "Every single moment is about making that place as beautiful as possible," said Nelson.

Co-director Alessandro Carloni also told EW that creating the panda village for "Kung Fu Panda 3" was artistically challenging. Carloni shared that the filmmakers needed to define and design a multitude of pandas, in order to make each one appear unique from each another.

More importantly, what inspired "Kung Fu Panda 3" filmmakers in creating the panda village, reports EW, was a 10-day trip to Sichuan, China. During the trip, the team saw real-life pandas and explored the mist covered Mount Qingcheng with its beautiful rustic architecture, shared production designer Raymond Zibach.

Zibach also revealed the trip helped them to experience a panda life through the eyes of Po, reports ComingSoon.net. Zibach added how the team wanted to make "Kung Fu Panda 3" really special for the panda hero, as he sets out to discover the panda way of life.

"Kung Fu Panda 3"is expected to hit movie theaters on January 29, 2016.
