Fans who are saddened by the cancellation of "Constantine" after only two seasons may have reason to celebrate. This is because a crossover of "Constantine" with The CW's "Arrow" is reportedly possible.
According to IGN, the possibility of the two shows crossing over was brought up in an interview during this year's San Diego Comic-Con. Arrow's Executive Producer Wendy Mericle said that they "would love to do it" and that "it's something we've been talking to DC about and it's just a question of some political things, but also the actor's schedule. We're trying to work it out, but we don't know 100 percent if it's going to happen." At that point, many have assumed that the mentioned actor is "Constantine's" lead Matt Ryan.
In the 13-episode short run of the NBC show "Constantine," it has formed a loyal and passionate fanbase. Many expressed their disappointment at the abrupt cancellation of the well-received show, so this possible "resurrection" is expected to be a sure treat to those who have followed "Constantine."
According to ComicBook.com, "Arrow's" Stephen Amell also has previously hinted on this much-awaited crossover during an appearance at the Wizard World Comic-Con shortly after "Constantine's" cancellation. According to the actor, he sees an opportunity for "interconnectivity" between the two DC shows. He explained further, saying, "Like, as an example, yesterday 'Constantine' was cancelled. And there is...yeah, I know, it's brutal... it's a good show, and it should come back. And it may come back, like there are various platforms where it could come back."
"Arrow" of The CW was renewed last January, and Season 4 is set to premiere on October 7, 2015.
