Wouldn't it be great to finally hear a confirmation that Barbara Gordon (Comissioner Jim Gordon's daughter) is said to appear in upcoming most-awaited superhero film, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice"? And according to Latino Review, it will be played by "The Hunger Games" actress (Johanna Mason), Jena Malone.
It was reported some time ago last year that Jena Malone is confirmed to be part of "Batman v Superman" casting. But we were still not sure which role she's gonna nab but speculations of course mentioned that because she dyed her hair, she might be playing the Carrie Kelley version of Robin, as illustrated in Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns".
Malone has already worked with Director Zack Snyder in "Sucker Punch" so it was not surprising that she was again approached to appear in DC "Batman v Superman" movie.
In the DC Universe, Barbara Gordon could either take Batgirl or Oracle. Since it was already rumored that the Gotham City Police Commissioner Gordon is dead in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice", Barbara could become the internet sleuth (known as Oracle) who helps Batman through hacking, information retrieval, and digital communication - following Alan Moore's graphic novel "Killing Joke" where she was paralyzed by the Joker.
Screenplay written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer, Director Zack Snyder will bring two of the greatest superheroes of all time together for the first time.
The DC movie will feature Henry Cavill (Clark Kent/Superman), Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Jeremy Irons (Alfred), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), and Diane Lane (Martha Kent). Just recently, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry or Aquaman and Ezra Miller as Barry Allen or The Flash have been rumored to appear in the soon-to-be-blockbuster film as well.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is set to be released on March 25, 2016.
