Avid fans of "Halo 5: Guardians" will be able to get more details about the video game as Gamescom 2015 draws near. A Twitter post from Eric Wrona, a "Halo" champion, reportedly hinted that the video game is actually gearing up for a big show at the Gamescom event. Also, a game director from 343 Industries teased fans of the game's ending via his Twitter account, a report from Design & Trend said on Thursday.
"I can't wait for the entire console world minds to be blown away with the @Halo announcements at Gamescom, I'm still reattaching mine," reads a Twitter post by Eric Wrona.
Meanwhile, Brad Welch, 343 Industries game director, tweeted, "Busy in the final stages of H5, but will be checking out the #HCS finals this weekend. Starts today at 11AM Pacific!."
According to Design & Trend, the two announcements this week have sparked excitements among fans. The report described the upcoming "Halo 5: Guardian" presentation in the Gamescom 2015 event as "mind-blowing." It also said that game developer 343 Industries has trolled the ending of the game to one unlucky fan.
Express UK, meanwhile, reported that software giant Microsoft will showcase "Halo 5: Guardians Gamescom Invitational by ESL. The said event will be held on August 7 and will start at 2 p.m. British Summer Time (9 a.m. EDT) in the ESL Arena on the Gamescom show floor. The report indicated that avid fans of "Halo 5: Guardians" will be able to see a first look of Arena gameplay which is a skill-based 4x4 combat game where top four teams will fight it out, including: Epsilon Esports (EU), Supremacy (EU), CAZ.Esports (EU), and OpTic Gaming (NA).
"Be sure to tune into the action on the Halo Channel and Twitch.tv/Halo to see the first look at pre-launch Arena tournament goodness. Keep an eye on Halo Waypoint for info about the teams, format, maps, and more as we get closer to the event," Microsoft said as quoted in the same website.
A developer's blog, Halo Waypoint, also disclosed that in "Halo 5: Guardians," there will be two distinct modes of gameplay: solo and co-operative. The report noted that each mode has its own separate save file.
Players can start a co-op session in which a player controls a leader of each Fireteam, either Master Chief or Spartan Locke. In the co-op session, players will be able to invite friends to join as the games reportedly run on dedicated servers to allow seamless gaming with less distraction. All achievements, collectibles or skulls will be granted to all the players during a co-op session.
Design & Trend also reports that players will be able to use the player-controlled or AI squads in fresh ways. It said that orders can be barked to execute essential tasks in the video game and improve teams' coordination.
The "Halo 5: Guardians" is slated to be released on October 27 and will arrive exclusively for Xbox One platforms.
