Channing Tatum Confirmed to Play 'Gambit' in The 'X-Men' Movie Spin-off

Let alone another sizzling hot actor to play a comic character! Channing Tatum to play "Gambit," could we say more to that?

We all felt sad the last few days as we thought Channing Tatum had no plans in playing "Gambit" for Fox's spinoff of "X-Men" movie but according to Huffpost Entertainment, Tatum has just settled for the role and closed the deal.

Just a few days back, it has been reported that Tatum may not be playing the part which was due to "Backend profits and Tatum's extended involvement with the "X-Men" franchise beyond the "Gambit" spinoff," According to the article of The Wrap.

The "23 Jump Street" and "Magic Mike" actor will be playing "Gambit" also known as Remy Etienne LeBeau, the fictional mutant superhero of "X-Men" by Marvel Comics. Gambit's character known for playing cards and holding a staff, is born with superhuman abilities and is able to control and manipulate kinetic energy.

"Rise of the Planet of the Apes" Director Rupert Wyatt is said to direct the movie and Josh Zetumer will be the scriptwriter. While Tatum, Reid Carolin, Lauren Donner, and Simon Kinberg are the producers of the movie.

Fans surely cannot wait to see Tatum in action as Gambit but what about his on-off love interest Rouge? Can we also see her character in the movie? We'll have to be posted on that one as "Gambit" movie will be set for release in Oct. 7, 2016.

Other "Marvel Comics" movie that was just shown was "The Ant-Man," and set for release on Aug. 7 is "Fantastic Four" reboot which stars Miles Teller, Reed Richards, Jamie Bell, and Toby Kebell. Aside from "Gambit", comic movie lovers will be excited by 2016 as there will be a lot of line-ups, "Deadpool," "Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice," "Captain America: Civil War" are just some and a lot more to watch out for.
