The much awaited Marvel's "Gambit" is set to release later next year and casting the stars to participate in the anticipated success of the film are already initialized. Channing Tatum is reportedly having second thoughts in playing the lead role while "Spectre" actress Lea Seydoux have already attended the screenings to portray one particular character in the movie.
According to IGN, 20th Century Fox's new project "Gambit" is currently screening for actors to play major roles. One of which is Lea Seydoux, the leading lady of the James Bond movie "Spectre". She reportedly showed up for casting under the screen-testing conducted by the movie's director Rupert Wyatt. Furthermore, the lead role of Gambit is currently under negotiations as Channing Tatum is being considered the perfect fit to play it.
Reports did not clearly indicate which role Seydoux was auditioning for. However, there were indications that the production wished to cast French-speaking actresses, she might be playing Vera, the female character on her 20s of early thirties who is a smart, beautiful, tough and unpredictable character playing alongside Gambit. If not, she might also fit the character of Nonna, an uptight, corporate, vicious, and sexual 20-30 year-old female.
According to Yibada, Seydoux's possible co-worker in the film Channing Tatum is currently under negotiations with the production to land the role of Gambit. It was said that the actor wishes to direct the film. Such preference could also be the one that plays on whether he would accept the role as just the actor in the film or would accept if he were to play the role and direct it at the same time. Despite the doubts as to whether he will participate in the project, there are no current reports that indicate his final decision on the opportunity presented unto him.
