Pop singer Ricky Martin, whose net worth is estimated at $60 million, just recently gave up his three-bedroom condo in 40 Bond Street for $7.55 million. The property was listed under Dennis Mangone and Pablo Alfaro of Douglas Elliman.
It seems that the Puerto Rican singer made a good profit with his Ian Schrager condo, which he bought for $5.7 million in 2007, according to New York Post. The property was not new in the estate market as he had listed it for $8.3 million in 2013.
Martin placed the property in the market after he purchased a 3,150-square-foot four-bedroom and 4.5-bathroom apartment in New York's Upper East Side for $5.9 million.
The "She Bangs" singer's apartment features three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms in a 2,637-square-foot area. It has a kitchen, living room and master bath "finished in Austrian smoked oak treated with natural oil." Another focal point of the pad is the "wet room in seamless Corian embossed with the building's signature graffiti pattern," Curbed reports.
The property also features 11-foot floor-to-ceiling windows that offer city views. The luxurious pad's amenities include a gym and a 24/7 doorman.
The Broadway actor and children's book author has been known in the music industry since the 1980s. Although he started as a child actor when he was eight, he became famous after joining the Latin pop group, Menudo. He created record-breaking music including "Livin' la Vida" and "She Bangs" that boosted his net worth.
He has sold more than 70 million albums. He made six #1 Billboard albums, 11 #1 hit songs, and received 95 platinum records. He was also awarded many times and received six Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, eight World Music Awards, 10 Billboard Music Awards, to name a few, according to The Richest.
Martin made headlines after he admitted that he was gay back in 2010. The singer was previously living together with his economist boyfriend Carlos González Abella, but they parted ways in 2014.
"I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am," the singer wrote on March 29, 2010, according to Daily Mail.
Martin has six-year-old twins, Matteo and Valentino, through a surrogate.
