'The Originals' Season 3 Spoilers & Cast Updates: The CW Series Casts Four New Characters & Actors

The creators of "The Originals" Season 3 recently tapped four actors to join the cast in its upcoming installment. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "H20: Just Add Water" actor Andrew Lees has been tapped to play the role of Lucien or Klaus' sire.

"Lucien is described as intelligent, charming, widely successful and at ease with princesses and paupers alike. He prides himself on being two steps ahead of everyone," the publication noted.

Meanwhile, actor Lawrence Kao will also be part of the series' upcoming third season. Kao will play the role of Van, a handsome but stubborn witch who tries his best to avoid coven politics. Kao's Van will be introduced in Season 3 episode 2, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Additionally, actor Oliver Ackland has been confirmed to play the role of Tristan, a mysterious vampire. Tristan also has a very long and complicated history with the Originals, so he could be merciless in dealing with them. Ackland's character will start appearing on the show starting episode 2.

"Pretty Little Liars" star Rebecca Breeds will also appear on "The Originals" Season 3. She will play the role of a beautiful vampire named Aurora. It's rumored that people shouldn't be deceived by Aurora's beauty because she could also be dangerous.

In other news, "The Originals" Season 3 will reportedly focus more on the Mikaelsons. Executive producer Michael Narducci also confirmed that there will be a lot of flashbacks this season.

"We talked a lot about how the Mikaelsons have been around for 1,000 years and somewhere along the way, they probably turned a bunch of people into vampires. Those vampires know that if an Original dies... an entire sire line will be wiped off," he said.

As of late, it is still unclear whether or not the two new vampires in the upcoming season were previously turned by the Mikaelsons.

"The Originals" Season 3 will premiere on the CW this October.
