Rousey To Correia: Dont Cry, after 34 Second Fight.

The UFC fight between Bethe Correia and Ronda Rousey taught us-- especially the contender-- that what goes around comes around.

Brazilian challenger who got directly in Ronda's face at the pre-fight stare down saying, "Don't cry" received in return those words from Rousey after she (Rousey) landed a vicious knockout at just 34 seconds into the first round.

It can be remembered that weeks before the UFC 190 fight last Saturday, mmamania released a transcript of Correia's noteworthy comments about the current UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. Correia was quoted saying that;

"I want to knock her out, show to everyone that she is a lie. She wants to stand up with me, let's see. I want to humiliate her and show the word she has no MMA. She is focused on movies, books. I am much stronger, I come from a developing country, where people are struggling to survive, not to starve. It is very different from her life of reality. Under pressure, she is proving weak. When her mom put pressure on her, she ran away from home. When she lost, it was because of drugs. That's not a superhero. She is not mentally healthy, she needs to take care of herself. She is winning, so everybody is around her cheering her up, but when she realizes she is not everything that she believes she is, I don't know what might happen. I hope she does not kill herself later on (laughs)."

The suicide comment of the challenger left a marked on Rousey, for when she was still 8 years old her father committed suicide. Whether the comment was unintentional to highlight that said incident or not, Rousey surely made the fight personal. Bleachreport wrote that on the post-fight press conference Rousey stated that;

"I said the exact same thing she was saying to me at the weigh-ins when she was screaming in my face at weigh-ins. She was saying 'Don't cry'. So I turned around to her after I knocked her out and I said 'Don't cry'. I consider the matter settled. I'm not going to have to think about her ever again after this day and I'm sure she'll have to think about me plenty. As far as I'm concerned, it's over and done with."

This fight somehow sends a message to future opponents of Rousey, that she needs only 34 seconds to settle a personal score.
