'Sleepy Hollow' Season 3 Spoilers & Cast: The Four Horsemen Are Down To Three, Headless Traded With Familiar Faces

"Sleepy Hollow" fans should expect the Four Horsemen to be down one member when the show returns for Season 3. According to Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Clifton Campbell revealed in an interview that The Headless Horseman who is also known as Ichabod's (Tom Mison) old pal Abraham will be replaced by a familiar face.

Campbell revealed that this year there won't be any headless and in the place of Neil Jackson will be a new and bad character that will be a personal threat to Abbie (Nicole Beharie) and Ichabod. Fans know the character as the villain who triggered chaos in the pilot episode. The character was also a major force in Season 1 and Season 2, and it was revealed that the headless' identity has a close connection to Ichabod.

The show will also be bringing back Joe Corbin (Zach Appelman) who is the son of Abbie's deceased mentor and was seen as a Wendigo before he was cured by the team. He will be working with Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood).

According to Campbell, the partnership of Joe and Jenny will fill the gap that was left by Irving (Orlando Jones) and Hawley (Matt Barr). In the interview, Campbell said that the duo will track down a lot of things which will help Abbie and Ichabod dig more about their past.

According to Cinemablend, now that some of the major characters would not be coming back for Season 3, the show will introduce some familiar faces. It was already reported that some of the show's regular cast members including Orlando Jones, Katia Winter, and John Noble finished their terms at the end of Season 2. Some of the new cast members of Season 3 include Shannyn Sossamon from "Wayward Pines," who was cast as Pandora, and "Twilight Saga" actress Nikki Reed will star as Betsy Ross.

"Sleepy Hollow" Season 3 will premiere on Thursday, October 1 at 9 p.m.
