"Fantastic Four" is going back on screen and both of its actors are making the headlines by going through an awkward interview on Rock 100.5, as per E! Online. Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm-Torch) and Kate Mara Field (Susan Storm/Invisible Woman) went through a racist and sexist interview but was able to handle it in a professional classy manner.
Steven Rickman, the radio host from Rock 100.5 first asked them these questions in which they politely answered: "Am I missing something? You're white and you're black," he said. "How does that happen?"
He was then given a straight to the point answer by Jordan stating:
"They could be raised as brother and sister, There's a whole bunch of family dynamics that could be without the 'obvious adoption.'"
The awkward conversation was then followed up by another cringeworthy question when the host decided to talk about Mara's hair stating:
"You're way, way hot, Why'd you cut your hair? Your hair was beautiful."
She then gave him a sharp answer:
"I'm sorry,I know you don't like it. I can tell."
"This is a great interview" she stated with sarcasm while giving Jordan a glance
He then added:
"You look great with short hair or long hair, but the long hair was excellent. So, did you cut your hair for this?"
Mara then replied:
"I cut my hair for a movie I just did."
Rickman asked then followed up a question
"What would you cut your hair for?"
Mara then gave a clear explanation stating"
"They asked me to, I'm an actress. I have to be a chameleon."
As per Entertain This! Jason Bailey, Rock 100.5 morning host then defended the interviewers by stating:
Look, not a huge fan of these controlled 5-7 minute interview junkets they run in the first place but I was curious about the brother and sister thing. You have a white sister and black brother wouldn't you want to know how that happened? I did. The other Fantastic Four franchises explain the relationship so I figured with this new hipster version they'd have some different backstory.
My partner's (Southside Steve) conversation about Kate's hair is something that came up while Michael B Jordan took a phone call so I think they were kind of just going back forth in a playful way. As for him complimenting her toes and why people are upset about that ... sorry ... no idea. Steve likes girl's toes. People should be appreciative when they get complimented. Those that are upset on Twitter I guess don't get enough of them. Who knows?
