Apple iOS 9 Release Date & Features: OS Boasts Intelligence And Proactivity

Tech giant Apple is gearing up to release the company's next major iteration of its mobile operating system, the iOS 9. Apple's new mobile operating system will likely feature an improved intelligence and proactivity. Apple claims that the iOS 9 has improved optimization features and upgraded performance enhancements designed to provide a unique OS experience to Apple users, a report from Master Herald said on Monday.

As Master Herald noted, Apple's iOS 9 will have the same updates and features that can be found in Apple's iPhone product line. Some of the updates and features that are rumored to be included in the iOS 9 are Siri, Notes, Maps and News apps. The report stressed that in Apple's upcoming mobile operating system, Siri will become a highlight with its expanded and robust search capability over contacts, apps, and other contents stored in the device.

According to a related report from MacRumors, the upcoming iOS 9 will have a feature that can learn and familiarize with the habits and interactions made in the device. The iOS 9 mobile operating system through Siri will be able to open any type of application, make a suggestion, search a specific location, provide direction, and other similar scenarios where it could provide essential information to users.

All these can be done by creating what Apple described as "contextual reminders" and "deep search capabilities" through Siri, in which Apple's personal assistant will now be able to search photos and videos and browse through results like sports scores, videos and contents from third-party applications.

Other rumored features of iOS 9 are install size optimizations, performance improvements, transit directions, split-screen multitasking for iPad, a wireless CarPlay support, a built-in two factor authentication, and iCloud Drive app. Apple's iOS 9 is slated to be released on September 2015 and developers are reportedly exploring its features since it was released for beta testing, according to MacRumors.
