ABC Family is now bringing the adventures of Clary Fray to television screens. Entertainment Weekly has the first exclusive feature on the images from ABC's latest show, "Shadowhunters."
"Shadowhunters" is based on the bestselling book series "The Mortal Instruments" written by Cassandra Clare. The story follows the life of a young artist named Clary who finds herself in the middle of a serious supernatural situation. In her quest to find the truth about her identity, she discovers the group called "shadowhunters" who are part-human and part-angel who are dedicated to hunt down demons which are residing on earth.
After her mother was kidnapped, Clary tries to explore a new world which is different from the one she knows, a world that is filled with demons, warlocks, werewolves, fairies and vampires. In her search for the truth, she will be helped by her best friend Simon and a mysterious shadowhunter named Jace.
One of the most interesting photos of the show that was released was reported to be the one where Clary and Jace were seen entering the City of Bones. According to Hypable, the image was from a scene in episode 2. Fans of the books will reportedly love the show as they know that the City of Bones play an important role in the world of the shadowhunters.
The place is decorated with an archway that has a set of skulls and the candelabra are made from human spines. Other images that were released features Clary and Jace along with Isabelle and Alec in a Magnus Bane party.
Clary will be played by Katherine McNamara while Jace will be played by Dominic Sherwood. Other cast members include Matthew Daddario as Alec, Emeraude Toubia as Isabelle and Alberto Rosende as Simon. According to Collider, the show will run for 13 episodes and is set to premiere in 2016.
