"Orange is the New Black" star Taylor Schilling recently opened up about her character Piper's transformation in the hit Netflix series. Schilling recently attended the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour in Los Angeles and while there, she talked about Piper's journey throughout the past couple of seasons.
In an interview with Nerdist, Schilling also compared her character Piper from the real-life person named Piper Kerman who inspired her role.
"I think the short answer would be 'far.' I think that would be the short answer. We started out really clear that Piper Chapman was very different than Piper Kerman. And Piper Chapman is a fictional character. Pretty much starting on the tail end of episode 1, the paths diverged from the book quite clearly.
Meanwhile, the cast members of "Orange is the New Black" are currently filming their episodes for the upcoming fourth season. Ahead of its premiere, other cast members have already talked about their respective characters' fates.
Actress Natasha Lyonne recently opened up about her character Nicky Nichols. The actress also hinted that Nicky could be back in Season 4. Lyonne added that Nicky's recent addiction on heroin could impact her life negatively.
"It can't be fingering and cookies all the time. There's going to be hell to pay at a certain point for playing with personal fire," Lyonne told E! News.
In other news, Elizabeth Rodriguez also talked about Aleida's questionable parenting style. While speaking with Cosmopolitan Magazine, Rodriguez said that she believes Aleida is not a good mother. However, her character has a good heart and she definitely loves her children.
"I think she does hope that Daya will get a chance to be a better mother, and I think Aleida hopes Daya will see it that way. But I also think no one is completely selfless and nothing is done completely selflessly," she said.
"Orange is the New Black" Season 4 will premiere on Netflix on June 2016.
