With the upcoming 2015 Gamescom, Konami has confirmed that the popular action adventure game will have a big presence during the convention and an advance trailer will be released on August 5.

The exciting news was announced by Konami on Monday, August 3, and even shared a few details about the game's new trailer to Gamepur. In a press statement released to the site, Konami stated that the 2015 GamesCom footage will highlight the "strategic heart" of "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain." The trailer will also feature the characters and the many gameplay advances done to the "Metal Gear Solid 5" game.

Meanwhile, latest updates from the game's director, Hideo Kojima, indicated that the "Metal Gear Solid 5" trailer will focus on the Mother Base gameplay, reports iDigitalTimes. Konami shared that the focus of the preview will be the gameplay footage back at the Motherbase - the upgradable off-shore site that serves as base of operations for the Diamond Dogs. Game fans will now have a better idea of what to expect when game character Snake is back on "safe" ground.

The iDigitalTimes report also stated that players might now be given the chance to choose the appearance of Snake's bionic arm. A teaser image shared by Kojima suggests that this may now be possible. Previously, images of Snake's bionic arm featured a crimson exterior, but the latest image shows a blue, orange and white variants of the arm.
