'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Cast & Pilot: Casper Crump To Play Major Villain

After the announcement of the casting of Hawkman, the "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" has finally found one of its villains. Danish actor Casper Crump was announced to play the big bad Vandal Salvage.

According to Variety, the character will also make its debut in one of the crossover episodes of "Arrow" and "The Flash." After his debut, he will return for "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" in a recurring role which will air during the mid-season of "Arrow" and "The Flash."

According to Coming Soon, the character is described as an immortal that has spent the last 6,000 years traveling like a "virulent disease" in history. He is known for advising despots and dictators which have led to his eventual domination of the world.

In his previous interview, show producer Greg Berlanti revealed that the new villain will be someone who is a big character that is not yet known in the DC universe. They also made sure that this new villain will have distinct characteristics compared to the DC Comics' memorable villains who appeared on "Arrow" and "The Flash."

Based on the show's teaser, it seems like Vandal Salvage is the threat that is being described in the show's short description. Fans are speculating that the character will go head to head with the time-traveling Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) as he looks for heroes and villains who will stop an immortal threat unlike anything they have seen before.

Crump will join the newly announced Hawkman, Falk Hentschel, alongside the previously confirmed cast members which include Brandon Routh (The Atom), Caity Lotz (White Canary), Victor Garber (Firestorm), Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (Heat Wave), Ciara Renée (Hawkgirl), and Franz Drameh (Jay Jackson).

Crump is a Danish actor who has appeared in the original version of "The Killing" where he played Forbrydelsen. He will also appear in David Yates' "Tarzan" adaptation with Alexander Skarsgard and Margot Robbie.
