A Giant Minion Causes Traffic Madness in Dublin

We all so loved and adored these cute yellow organisms that sport their trademark addicting laugh, blue jumpsuit, and goggles look. But it would be awkward to hear them causing destruction right?

It might not even cross your mind but a 40 ft. giant inflatable minion caused a huge traffic turmoil in the busy road of Dublin on Sunday when apparently it was winded over the busy road from where it was located.

So, it's the wind's fault and not the poor giant minion.

One witness named Erin Van Londen said from the article of The Journal, "I'm not sure how it got loose but I just saw it coming loose and flying across the road as we were driving." She also added, "It's been very windy in the area."

She also reported the incident to their local police, gardai and said, "I actually rang the gardaí. It was quite an odd thing to have to report."

The Irish police known as Gardai arrived at the area at around 3pm on Monday and by the help of locals and passers-by deflated the giant minion according to The Guardian.

The said giant minion is for the Fairground events and festival. The said incident was strange and hilarious at the same time. Luckily, it didn't cause any serious damage to the motorists.

Paul McAuliffe, Dublin's city councilor tweeted, "Escaped Minion at Omni in Santry may seem hilarious but its a dispicable breach of health & safety," from the article of The Guardian.

The yellow creatures became popular as the assistant of a super-villain "Gru" in the 2010 3D-animated movie, "Despicable Me." It grew a worldwide fan-base and success earning $543 million. The minions were also seen in the sequel of the movie released in 2013, "Despicable Me 2."

And the minions own prequel movie released in 2015 titled "Minions."

See them again in "Despicable Me 3" which is set for release in 2017.
