'X-Men: Apocalypse' Cast & Teaser: See Storm Watching Over Another Storm In Egypt In Exclusive Photos

"X-Men: Apocalypse" director Bryan Singer is keeping fans updated by posting some of the behind-the-scenes happenings on the set. The director recently shared a photo on his Instagram account showing Sir Patrick Stewart, Jason Reitman and himself sitting together looking at something intently.

It was earlier reported that Stewart, who is known for his role as Charles Xavier/Professor in the previous X-Men films, will not be coming back in the upcoming movie. However, according to International Business Times, it was reported that he can make a possible cameo to set up the future movies. Although he may be on the set, it was reported that he could just be visiting the production.

In the latest photo shared by Singer, the director showed an image of Alexandra Shipp as Storm with the image magic of Simulcam. It was the technology developed by James Cameron when he was making "Avatar" and it allows filmmakers to see the approximations for the CGI which will be later filled in for the green shots. In the backdrop, an image of Egypt can be seen and the effects are reportedly still in the works. With this image, Den of Geek speculated that Storm might be traveling to Cairo in 1983.

The film is currently being shot in Montreal. It stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult as its returning cast. The newcomers include Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, and Alexandra Shipp.

Singer already confirmed that the upcoming movie will mark the start of a new era for the "X-Men" franchise. It is also the standard bearer of the new generation of mutants as "Deadpool" will premiere in February and "Gambit" in October.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" was written by Simon Kinberg and is set to be released on May 27, 2016.
