Among the most awaited devices in the market today are the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Here's a comparison of the two top devices in terms of their designs and features.

Design

When it comes to design, the Lumia 950 XL is rumored to have a polycarbonate body in black or white, just like the Lumia 735 and the Lumia 640. GottaBeMobile described the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL handset as an amalgamation of all Microsoft Mobile/Nokia hardware designs in the past. Computer World stated that the Samsung Galaxy 5, on the other hand, shares Galaxy S6's slick, neat metal-and-glass design, though it has corners that are slightly sharper.

Internal features

Reports have said that the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL phone will have high quality features such as the PureView 20MP camera with triple flash, a 3GB RAM, an SD card slot, and an octacore Snapdragon 910 processor. Further, the device will also have a 5.7-inch OLED screen, rumored to have a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is stated to have the Exynos 7420 as its central processing unit with 4GB of RAM. According to Forbes, "Photography fans will be delighted with [its] 16-megapixel camera on the back, coupled with Samsung's improved imaging processing software." Leaks from numerous sources have also mentioned that the device will have an Android 5.1.1. There is also an Air Command, which will include options for Smart select, Action memo, S Note, Screen Write, Instagram, and Settings. Its Instagram icon will allow you to personalize an Air Command shortcut or a previously deleted app.

Release Date

The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL will supposedly be announced to the public at the IFA 2015 in September, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is expected to come out in August. Moreover, it is rumored that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will go up against the iPhone 6 Plus, which is also expected to arrive this September.

Price

The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL phone is said to cost about $650 while the Samsung Galaxy Note 5's reported price points around $1000.
