Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards Breakup: Ex of One Directioner Louis Tomlinson, Eleanor Calder, Tells Edwards to 'Stay Strong'

After Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards call off their year-long engagement, the Little Mix member has found support and comfort from another One Direction Ex-Girlfriend, Eleanor Calder. Louis Tomlinson's ex-flame has reached out to Edwards to impart her with some advice as they have shared pretty similar experiences.

Hollywood Life has the exclusive scoop. An insider shares how Calder has been able to provide the "Wings" artist words of encouragement. The insider says "she feels sad for her and knows she is heartbroken and hurting. She basically let her know that she could relate and was there for her whenever she needed a friend. She told her to stay strong."

Another ex-girlfriend of Malik has surfaced and has also given Edwards words of encouragement. The ex is Geneva Lane of Belle Amie, Malik's co-contestant back in "X-Factor." Unreality.co.uk shares Lane's tweet regarding the duo's breakup:

"Lol... Saw that coming. Dunno how she didn't realise sooner what massive c*** he is. She deserves so much better than to be treated how she has for so long. So many lies and so much deceit. So wrong. She will come out strong."

The engagement of the two British pop stars was called off in the middle of July, but it was reported beforehand that the very young couple was dealing with problems already. However, Edwards has posted a picture of them happy and lovey dovey together on Instagram on July 11, leading people to assume that she didn't expect the split to happen.

The "Black Magic" singer insists that she's doing just fine after the engagement. It was previously reported that she had plans of holding all wedding plans due to her commitment as part of the British girl group Little Mix. Malik is currently signed with RCA Records after departing from One Direction.
