This might be the biggest shocking celebrity breakup this month!
After the decisions of divorce of Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, and break-up of Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards, now Kermit The Frog and Miss Piggy?
The two loved characters of "The Muppets" have just recently announced their split. The two announced their break-up via a statement that was published on of their Facebook pages and based on the article of Time:
"After careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, Miss Piggy made the difficult decision to terminate our romantic relationship. We will continue to work together on television ("The Muppets"/Tuesdays 8pm this fall on ABC) and in all media now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity, throughout the universe. However, our personal lives are now distinct and separate, and we will be seeing other people, pigs, frogs, et al. This is our only comment on this private matter. Thank you for your understanding."
Totally heartbreaking news!
And last Tuesday at the Television Critics Association where both of them appeared, "Kermit" introduced a new "girlfriend" named Denise who he says is working in the marketing section of ABC.
On the other hand, Miss Piggy tweeted according to the article of Time that "Dating moi is like flying close too the sun. It was inevitable that Kermit would drop down to the ground while I stayed in the heavens."
Sad and happy news as we will still see them in the upcoming TV reboot in fall.
"The Muppets" was created by Jim Henson and it was originally from his work known as "Sam and Friends." He introduced a comedy played by a group of character-puppets. The most famous appearance they had was in 1969 for Sesame Street. From that, series of television shows and movies came along like "The Muppet Show," "The Muppet Movie,"" The Muppet Christmas Carol," "Muppet Treasure Island "and in 2011, a re-branded franchise, "The Muppets."
"The Muppets" TV reboot will be shown by ABC in the coming fall.
