Robert Downey Jr. has again proven himself that he is worth almost like his billionaire character in the movies Iron Man and Avengers. For recently he was chosen as the number one world's highest paid actor of 2015 by Forbes. This is the third time in a row that he was included in the said annual list.
Downey Jr. landed the top spot, outnumbering Asian superstar Jackie Chan by $30 million higher than Chan's earnings. The 50 year old actor is said to have earned $80 million from June 1, 2014 to June 1 of this year. This huge financial success of Downey Jr. is to be attributed to his participation on the blockbuster hit movie "Avenger: Age of Ultron," which according tolatinpost earned $1.4 billion in gross.
The New York born A-list actor is currently said to have a net worth of $180 million. And such net worth is very far from his net worth when he first appeared on-screen as an actor on the 1970 movie, "Pound." And yet with such great success in the entertainment industry, still Downey ranks as 8th in the list of Forbes' highest-paid celebrities. The undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr., who according to the report earned a hefty $300 million last year, topped the said celebrity list.
But still Downey Jr. is grateful to be included and even topping again the list of highest paid actor this year.
