Eight Ways to Remove Scratches from Furniture (Part 1)

A gouge or scratch can ruin the look of the tabletop, as mentioned in an article from Reader's Digest. The article added that dust the affected area and use microfiber cloth in cleaning it.

The article also mentioned eight remedies to remove the scratches from the furniture and to match the color and texture on the table.

1. Place coffee

The article suggested that make a small cup of a strong coffee and apply it to the scratch with a soft cloth. 3. Use crayon wax

The article mentioned that if the scratch is deeper, use children's wax crayon set. The article also gave steps on how to do it. First, grate a part of a crayon into a small bowl; then place it in a pan of boiling water to melt the wax, then drip the wax into the gouge, and use flat knife to smoothen it. In addition, the article suggested that mix a color to match the wood by adding several colors.

4. Scrub a walnut

Nut oils are perfect for repairing damaged wood, as said in the article. The article instructed that rub a walnut kernel over a scratch to remove it, or use a little walnut oil with a soft cloth. The article from Thrifty Fun suggested that remove the shell of the walnut and rub it.
