‘Dragon Age: Inquisition’ DLC: Release Date Set on August 11, Darkspawn to Return

BioWare's "Dragon Age: Inquisition" video game has been aggressively growing and expanding, as the game developer on Wednesday announced a new DLC which will attract more gamers. The second wave of DLC is called "The Descent," in which players will trek the dark dungeons of Deep Roads. "The Descent" DLC is expected to arrive on August 11 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC gaming console platforms, a report from Master Herald said.

According to the report, avid fans of the "Dragon Age: Inquisition" will have the chance to meet again the video game's oldest and scariest enemy, which is Darkspawn. In the new DLC, players will be sent in a specific mission to discover the mystery behind the cryptic earthquakes in Thedas, which put the people's lives and properties in peril.

The report said that Deep Roads is the home of Darkspawn.

The rumored price of the upcoming DLC is pegged at $14.99, which is similar to the previous "Dragon Age: Inquisition" DLCs, though Bioware has not officially announced yet the price of "The Descent" DLC. Furthermore, PS4 console owners will reportedly have to wait for a month for the said expansion due to timed exclusivity contract between Microsoft and game developer Electronic Arts.

Gamerant added that in the upcoming "The Descent" DLC, the Inquisitor will be obliged to investigate and locate the source of the earthquakes. The report also noted that the Inquisition will be encountering many familiar creatures such as hurlocks, ogres, and broodmother.

With this, players will be able to experience the full gaming feature of Darkspawn for the first time. The video game has also been reportedly added to the Electronic Arts Vault so that subscribers will be able to access the video game for free and members could pick up "The Descent" DLC with a discount of 10 percent from its original price.

The EA's subscription service will only be available only for Xbox One gaming platforms. Subscribers will be able to access the video game on its line-up for $4.99 per month or $29.99 annually.
