'Jumanji' Reboot Release Date, News: Remake Caused Internet Outrage

It's been 20 years since Chris Van Allsbrg's 1981 children's book adaptation premiered; the blockbuster adaptation featured the late Robin Williams.

Though rumours about the Jumanji's remake hit the headlines last 2012, 6 months after Zack Helm was chosen to write the remake of the script but haven't reported any progress regarding the remake since then. As per Slash Film, Jumanji's remake will soon hit the big screen as Sony Pictures already released the premier date on January 25, 2016.

Though Jumani was well loved by fans for the past decade, as per CNN the reboot seem to upset some of them, stating that the remake happened too soon after the main actor, Robin Williams' passing; fans then took twitter by storm, showing their dismay:

I can't be the only one who thinks its WAY too freaking soon to be messing with ANY #RobinWilliams film, can I? #Jumanji - @cherrycokeaf

I really don't want that Jumanji remake. Probably because I feel it's too soon after Robin William's death and that's one of my favs.- @Sharlynnshida

Hollywood is officially out of ideas with a Jumanji reboot- @theblumandonly

The original Jumanji premiered in 1995 which was directed by Joe Johnson. Robin Williams was casted to play the adult version of the boy who got sucked into the game and other celebrities that were casted on the original film were Kirsten Dunst, Bradley Pierce, David Alan Grier, Jonathan Hyde, Bonnie Hunt, and Bebe Neuwirth.

Though the cast isn't announced yet and no specific details were stated regarding the film on whether they'd be using Zack Helm writing, nothing was confirmed except for the premier date. Though fans still prefer the original version of the film, the remake would most definitely have better special effects now that we have advanced editing technology that would deliver superb visual effects unlike the original version.
