It is more or less an hour's drive west of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Lobo Ranch is a working cattle ranch that stands on an elevated land that is about 6,000 to 8,000 feet above sea level, according to the listing agent Jeff Buerger of Hall and Hall. He added that the ranch boasts of beautiful landscapes including mesas, rock formations and sandstone hills as well as thousands of Native American art like carvings and drawings.
The owners had renovated the buildings on the property, including the five-bedroom lodge that has an outdoor fireplace and large decks with majestic views. Measuring approximately 3,700 square feet, the lodge is being sold fully furnished. There is also a bunkhouse measuring more or less 1,500 square feet, with three bedrooms and a loft, as well as a ranch manager's residence, barns and other ranch buildings.
But according to Mr. Buerger, "Nonetheless, a buyer would likely want to build a new house on the property."
The property is currently owned by a group of investors which includes Arizona-based real-estate investment and advisory company known as Everest Holdings. Mr. Joe Blackbourn, the president of Everest, said that the ownership group bought the ranch about a decade ago. The group includes several families who use the ranch for recreation activities such as hunting, horseback riding and mountain biking.
Furthermore, according to Mr. Blackbourn, the group is selling the property because a couple of large ranch transactions last year convinced the current owners that "the time seems to be right for approaching the market."
