'Empire' Season 2 Spoilers, Trailer: Will Lucious be Removed as CEO? Marisa Tomei and Chris Rock to Debut (Video)

"Empire" Season 2's latest trailer footage shows how much Andre is eager to leave his father out of the company, Hollywoodreporter.com reports of the show's latest exciting new trailer.

Is it possible for the Empire Entertainment to thrive without the fearless leader, Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard)?

It's the situation that the Lyon family has to face as "Empire" returns on air. The 1-minute new season-two trailer which was released Thursday, shows how Andre (Trai Byers) and his mother, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), are determined to oust Lucious as the company's CEO.

However, Lucious isn't just about to let them replace him as head of "Empire". "He needs to be handled," he says ominously of Andre.

Now that Lucious has appointed his middle son, Jamal (Jussie Smollett), to run the company in his absence, the sibling rivalry with Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) and Jamal has gotten more heated than ever. "I'm gonna bury your album," promises Jamal.

The "Empire" trailer video also revealed the guest-stars who are formally debuting in this latest season - Chris Rock and Tomei - and we already know based on the footage which side of the Lyon's family drama Marisa's character is taking. "Lyon is Empire. Without him, the company is nothing", she says in a scene in the footage.

"Empire" is one of the top-rating shows in today's TV series pool and is highly recognized by critics. Entertainment Weekly dubbed it as "sensational", "scandalous", "irresistibly addictive", TVline.com thinks it's "delicious", Bustle.com finds it "amazing", The Daily Beast refers to it as "a legend", and "epic", MTV believes it's "powerful", Washington Post finds it "fabulous".

The second season is looking promising as things become more than just business and has begun to become more personal than it already is. The last outtake of the trailer revealed Lyon saying "Game over" in Cookie's face.

Claimed to be the "biggest show of the year", "Empire" season 2 is premiering on September 23, Wednesday, at 9 p.m. on Fox.
