Amal Clooney to Possibly Take Over Donald Trump's Role on 'The Celebrity Apprentice?'

Is Amal Clooney set to say "You're fired!" on the small screen? Reports say that the British powerwoman is currently in the running to be Donald Trump's replacement on "The Celebrity Apprentice."

Daily Star says that Clooney is part of the shortlist of women set to take on Trump's role as host. Other women part of the list are Jessica Alba, who runs Honest Company, and Sheryl Sandberg of Facebook.

The NBC show's producers and executives believe that the human rights lawyer and fashion icon is a good fit for the show due to her command of the audience, both in the boardroom and the red carpet. She is respected both in her line of work and in Hollywood, which make her more than just George Clooney's wife.

Express quoted NBC as saying, "We want Amal, although there are a couple of other prominent women in contention, we think she could be a perfect fit if her schedule can be made to dovetail with shooting requirements." Filming for the reality show will be done in New York, which will reportedly work for Amal since she regularly teaches at Columbia Law School. If she decides to take on the role, she apparently has her friends' support.

According to reports, Trump was quickly dropped by the bosses at NBC after he made questionable comments about illegal Mexican immigrants in the United States, calling them "rapists and murderers," during one of his campaign speeches. He also has announced his intention of running for president for the 2016 U.S. elections.

Meanwhile, George and Amal Clooney are definitely going strong! They've been married for a year and have been keeping their relationship out of the public eye. However, they recently have been spotted going on a date night in beautiful Italy.
