Motorola Moto G3 Vs. Asus ZenFone 2: ZenFone 2 Design, Display, Processor, RAM, ChipSet Better at $300

Moto G3, Motorola's latest budget smartphone and "real flagship," skyrocketed sales after its first generation version was launched years back. However, will it be able to hold its position of being the best amidst numerous other flagships such as the Asus ZenFone 2?

Both the Moto G3 and Asus ZenFone 2 are manufactured with the use of plastic, but the latter is coated with a metallic material, which gives it a premium appearance. Its rear panel is replaceable and owners can easily get rid of it in order to access the SIM card.

Motorola G3, on the other hand, will come similar to the company's flagship Moto X design, but a plastic build with metal coating has replaced the metal frame, GizMag said. The biggest advantage of G3 is perhaps its customizable panels and accents. Also, it has an IPX7 certification and is water-proof for a meter of water height.

In display quality and size, the ZenFone 2 is better with its 5.5-inch IPS screen, 1080x1920 pixels, and 403 pixels for every inch density. Moto G3 also has an LCD IPS screen that measure 5.0 inches, has a 720x1280 pixels resolution, and 294 pixels for every inch density.

Asus ZenFone 2's hardware is more advanced with two versions. One has 4GB of RAM, while the other has 2GB. As for its 4GB of RAM model, it comes with an Intel Z3580 Atom chipset, G6430 PowerVR GPU, and a quad-core 2.3 GHz CPU. Motorola Moto G3 has 410 Snapdragon Qualcomm on top of Cortex-A53 CPU, 1.4 GHz cores, and 306 Adreno GPU.

Moto G3 has 2GB and 1GB onboard, while Asus ZenFone 2 has either 4GB or 2GB. G3, also, could support 32GB; however, ZenFone 2 is better since it could support external storage of as much as 64GB, GSM Arena shared.

Motorola Moto G3 is the device's most attractive attribute. Its 2GB RAM, unlocked version is sold at $219, while the 1GB RAM, unlocked is $179. Asus ZenFone 2, unlocked comes at $300.
