Google Nexus 5 Specs Leaked

Apple IPhone should step aside for a while as one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2015 is the annual Nexus device from Google and its partners. This year, a new Nexus 5 2015 made by LG as well or a new Nexus device from Huawei are expected to emerge. But today, the specs of both devices have been leaked and crawling everywhere online.

According to the leak, the new Nexus 5 will boast of its 5.2-inch full HD 1080p P-OLED display, the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 (MSM8976) processor, up to 4GB of LPDDR3-1866 RAM, up to 64GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage, a 3180mAh non-removable battery, a MediaTek MT3188 wireless charging receiver, and a Marvell Avastar 88W8897 connectivity chipset for 802.11ac Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth 4.2. In plain "English", this means superfast smartphone with superb graphics compared to its predecessors that can be charged wireless anywhere across the room.

Furthermore, the leak also uncovers that the new Nexus 5 will be loaded with front stereo speakers, a rear power button with integrated fingerprint sensor, a 13-megapixel rear camera with an IMX278 RGBW sensor, a 6-element f/1.8 aperture lens, OIS, laser autofocus, and a dual-tone LED flash, a 4-megapixel front-facing camera with an OV4682 RGB-IR sensor and Iris Detection, a USB Type-C connector with QuickCharge 2.0. Does this mean that this smartphone is about to become the best music player and "selfie" device?

Reports say the new Nexus device will be released alongside Android M. According to a report by Geeks Snack, "the joint launch of the new Nexus and Android M is a sure thing."

Multiple reports also say that aside from the advanced features of the new device, Google is focused on the more traditional features of Nexus handsets, that is low end price, high-end specs and zero overkill features.

A report has said that, "The Nexus 5 2015 will focus on meeting user demands more than doing improvements to lesser requested things. As such, we've heard from some developers that the Nexus 5 2015 will not be appealing nor impressive visually, but it will be a powerhouse specifically directed at power users."
