The latest Kim Richards updates say that the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH)" star was hospitalized after her controversial shoplifting arrest. At the height of her troubled life where everyone seems to be leaving her, an "RHOBH" co-star has volunteered to offer her a helping hand.
Joyce Giraud, 40, a previous "RHOBH" cast member, has spoken with TMZ and expressed her willingness to help Richards. The former reality star told the website that she will always be willing to help out the previous child star. She said that the reality TV actress had been sweet to her and confirmed that she's been always in touch with the troubled actress.
"I feel really bad for her because I love her," Giraud stated. "She was always very sweet to me. I can just hope she gets better. She knows I am here for her if she needs me. I already texted her."
"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" actress who worked with Richards, 50, for one season claimed that there's no bad blood between her and Richards, and since the socialite needs help, it's her turn to help her even if it would mean she has to lend her money. When asked if she's willing to lend Richards some cash, Giraud didn't have a second thought.
"Always," Giraud claimed. "A hundred percent."
UsWeekly first reported that the 50-year-old was confined in a hospital after concerned family members decided to seek proper help for the alcoholic actress. According to the site, the reality TV actress was hospitalized after she was detained on August 2 for shoplifting at L.A.Target shop.
The site quoted a source who said that the "Nanny and the Professor" actress had fallen back into old habits. However, the report was slammed by Entertainment Online saying that an insider close to the former "RHOBH" actress claimed that "regardless of what is going on with her medically and mentally she is not currently locked up."
In April, Richards was taken into custody for serious cases including trespassing, resisting arrest, public intoxication, and battery of a police officer after a Beverly Hills Hotel incident. She had a quick stint in rehab after intervention by TV's Dr. Phil. However, things have spiraled out of control when she went back to her old habits during her daughter's wedding.
When she was arrested for shoplifting, she was reported to be "homeless and living in her car." She pleaded not guilty for the arrest. Her sister Kyle Richards and half-sister Kathy Hilton posted $5,000 bail the following day and the reality star has to appear in court on August 20.
