"Divergent" star Ansel Elgort recently talked about his three alter egos during an interview for Teen Vogue magazine's September 2015 issue.
According to the actor, his three different alter egos come out depending on certain situations. For instance, Ansel is the person who relates to his family and Ansel Elgort is the person who is also an actor. Since he loves to DJ, Ansolo serves as the actor's third alter ego when he's doing music.
"You know, it might be a weird actor thing, but I think of myself as a few different people. Like, I think of myself as Ansel - that's one person. And then I'm Ansel Elgort. That's another person. And then I'm an Ansolo," he explained.
Elgort also revealed that each of his three alter egos have special moments. For instance, as Ansel, the best day of his life is spending time with his family at the beach. As Ansel Elgort, the best moment of his life was when he presented at the Oscars. As Ansolo, the best moment of his life took place when his favorite DJ, Steve Angello, played his song "Totem" for the first time.
"I started crying. Then when I heard he was going to sign it to his label, I was freaking out," he said.
As Ansolo, Elgort gets to spin music for his friends and his fans. In fact, the actor/musician has also played at the Electric Zoo Festival and the Ultra Music Festival, according to Fashion N Style.
"I was so bad. I called my 'Hanzolo,' but when I told a pal of mine at school, he was like, 'Dude, that the stupidest name ever. You have to change that. Why don't you just call yourself 'Ansolo?' and I was like, 'Oh, word. That's cooler.' Hanzolo just sounds stupid," he said.
Elgort will also reprise his role as Caleb Prior on "Allegiant - Part 1" on Mar. 18, 2106.
