'Elementary' Season 4 Spoilers: Will Sherlock Finally Accept His Dad's Return? Tension Brewing Between Morland and Joan

Spanning up from the last episode of Season 3 of the crime drama series "Elementary," where Morland Holmes (Sherlock's dad) was introduced as returning to New York due to his son Sherlock being succumbed in his drug addiction, the actor's character being Sherlock's father revealed that his presence didn't quite fuss Sherlock as he was not there most of his life.

As was told by the Rob Doherty, the creator of the TV series in an article of EW, "Once he arrives, Sherlock does not appreciate the attention or the distraction that his dad represents."

"Elementary" Executive producer also said, "For him, it's too little too late. This is a father and a son with a very complicated history. I'd say for at least a couple decades, Sherlock's father has been out of sight, out of mind. This is going to be a big adjustment for Sherlock to have dad nearby."

"The Lord of the Rings" actor John Noble (who plays Sherlock's father) would be like a push to the viewers as his character could entail a lot prodding plot and working story lines. Viewers must have to watch for Morland in the upcoming fourth season of "The Elementary" as from the previous episodes, his character was briefly discussed and introduced.

Rob Doherty also noted that Morland's character would bring a bit of friction towards Joan.

As from EW's Spoiler Room, the creator of the TV series said that, "When Joan does meet dad, there will be some friction."

He also added, "When Morland arrives and makes a genuine and surprising attempt to help Sherlock, Sherlock has to rethink his relationship with his dad. As the season progresses, we're going to see that Joan is worried that dad is a little more like the guy Sherlock has described" - I do believe he's equated him to Satan before - "versus the guy he seems to be now. She'll be keeping a careful eye on him."

Watch out for "Elementary's" fourth season coming this fall on CBS.
