‘Drive Club’ Car List: August Update Brings Free Downloadable Cars & More, Evolution Studios Confirms

On Monday, game developer Evolution Studios has confirmed that a new update for its racing video game "Drive Club" will be rolled out this month for the PlayStation 4. The reported update will bring new downloadable contents including free cars, a report from Master Herald said on Monday.

Playstation Lifestyle reported that "DriveClub" game director Paul Rustchynsky has announced via Twitter that the August 2015 update for the video game will add support for the Thrustmaster TH8A Add-On Shifter and clutch support for the Thrustmaster T3PA including the T3PA-PRO Add-On Pedals.

"This month's #DRIVECLUB update will bring support for the #Thrustmaster TH8A Add-on Shifter (both gated and sequential configurations)," reads a Twitter message posted by Rustchynsky dated August 7.

"#DRIVECLUB - In addition we've also added clutch support for the #Thrustmaster T3PA & T3PA-PRO Add-on pedals. We actually have TWO new cars coming to #DRIVECLUB this month. One FREE to D/L from the PS Store & the other unlocked by reaching Level 66. Other #DRIVECLUB updates this month include: Car Statistics in Garage & Car Select / Elite Levels 66-75 / VUHL & Rimac Handling improvements," he continued.

Rustchynsky, however, did not name the two cars but he vowed that it will be announced this week. It can be recalled that last month, two DLC packs were released for the "Drive Club" racing video game.

The first pack, according to Master Herald, was the Horsepower Expansion Pack, which was released on July 28. The reported Horsepower Expansion Pack includes 11 new events, five new cars, and five new trophies. The five new cars from the Horsepower Expansion Pack were the Ferrari LaFerrari FXX K, the Nissan GT-R NISMO, the McLaren P1 GTR, the Renault Megane R.S. 275 Trophy-R, and the Ferrari FXX Evoluzione.

According to the same report, the second DLC pack, which was released on the same day, is called the UnitelnSpeed Tour Pack. The reported pack has extra 11 events and five new trophies.

Along with the two DLC packs which were earlier released, a 0.5GB update has been rolled out to introduce some revisions and tweaks in the video game. The new patch included an Elite Driver Levels for L60+ racers and new Random Event options.
