A recent event was officiated by Scottish Housing and Welfare Minister Margaret Burgess MSP where recently completed affordable homes were unveiled. In a report from scottishconstructionnow.com, the said project is located at Pittencrieff Street, Dunfermline.
The opening remarks were given by Kingdom Housing Association's Chairperson Charles Milne. He also unveiled the plaque marking the occasion. In his speech, he referred to the recently published Report from the Commission for Housing and Welfare. He highlighted the great need for increased investment in affordable housing provision as well as the beneficial effects of affordable housing in the community.
For the Government's part, Burgess said, "The Scottish Government has contributed £1.885 million to assist in the construction of this development in Dunfermline."
She added, "These properties have been constructed to a high standard with good access to the town centre. I am sure these flats will provide a warm and welcoming home for the tenants who move in to them. The government recognizes the importance in providing affordable housing, and is well on the way to meeting its commitment to provide 30,000 affordable houses within the lifetime of this parliament."
This is not only the project of Kingdom Housing Association for the welfare of society. The company recently retained its accreditation as one of the Investors in People. The accreditation lauds the company's commitment to the training, motivation and rewards for its employees and staff.
