2K Sports' basketball simulation video game "NBA 2K16" will reportedly feature a lot of changes. One of the changes is related to the game's shot release meter.
2K Sports has claimed that "green releases" on the shot release meter will reportedly be less common in the "NBA 2K16" video game. Having said that, this would mean that a green shot will no longer guarantee that a shot will go in, Design & Trend reported on Tuesday.
A similar report from Operation Sports revealed that "NBA 2K16" gameplay director Mike Wang has announced via Twitter the recent changes in the video game. He specifically pointed out that green releases will no longer be 100% and are now much rarer.
"@teebone21 @JersDaCurse @Da_Czar @ScottOGallagher @Ronnie2K @LD2K No. Green releases are much rarer in 16 and also no longer 100%," reads a Twitter post from Wang (@Beluba) posted on Tuesday.
"There have been battles even internally over missed green releases, especially now that they're so hard to get. I really think it's an unsolvable problem. The best news I can give you is that our shots engineer has made just about every knob I use to tune shooting modifiable on the server side post release just like a roster update," wrote gameplay director Mike Wang as posted on the Operation Sports website.
Furthermore, the company has announced that if there will be changes to be made in the video game's meter releases, they will be introduced without any patch. "So if there's something the community isn't happy with I can tweak the system and update your games without the need for a patch. So what happened with patch four last year will never happen again," Wang said as quoted in the Design & Trend website.
Meanwhile, 2K Sports has also disclosed that it plans to officially reveal two new classic teams per week. Some of the teams that were recently announced are Raptors, Celtics and Lakers.
