Asus Zenfone 2 Update: AT&T Comes Out With Asus Zenfone 2E Variant

Telecommunication company AT&T has reportedly come up with a new variant of the Asus' current flagship smartphone. The new variant is called the Asus ZenFone 2E, which is offered as an AT&T exclusive. The Asus Zenfone 2E is part of AT&T's prepaid mobile phone service and is the latest addition to the company's GoPhone roster, a report from Master Herald said on Tuesday.

A related report from Android Headlines revealed that Asus Zenfone 2E is more affordable than other Asus Zenfone models, specifically with AT&T's GoPhone Prepaid plans. The device's price is pegged at $119.99.

The device is considered to be a "budget device" and the site noted that its specifications are quite good. The ZenFone 2E is expected to sport a 5-inch display with 1280 x 720 resolution. The device will be powered by Intel's Atom Dual-Core Processor which can handle multiple tasks, and it will have at least 1 GB of Random Access Memory (RAM).

When it comes to its storage, the handset will be loaded with a standard 8 GB internal storage capacity. A microSD card slot is also included in the device. The phone's cameras include an 8-megapixel rear shooter and a 2 MP front camera.

The Asus Zenfone 2E will also have WiFi 802.11b/g/n, a Bluetooth 4.0 technology, GPS and 4G LTE connectivity. The phone will be powered by a 2,500 mAh battery and will be running under Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Aside from the device's mid-range specifications, the company boasts the phone's luxurious ultra-thin ergonomic arc design which makes it unique and handy.
