Australian star Hugh Jackman sold off his two-decade old Melbourne apartment for $740,000 without the buyer knowing that the "Wolverine" actor owned the property.

Reports from an Australian real estate site, Domain.com, have indicated that Jackman and his wife Deborra-lee Furness first bought the property 20 years ago, long before the actor became an international star. The couple's modest apartment is located in Melbourne's Central Business District (CBD), specifically at the fourth level of the Cavendish House in 27-37 Russell Street. The property was auctioned off in May 30 through Dingle Partners, without disclosing that the apartment belonged to the famous couple.

According to the listing on Domain.com, the Melbourne apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and features a spacious and stylish interior. The fourth level property sits at the north-west corner of the historical Cavendish House and has a gorgeous entry foyer and impressive hardwood floors. The living and dining room areas boasts of high-ceilings with relaxing views of the trees surrounding most of the property. The spacious kitchen has granite benchtops and high quality appliances including a Fisher and Paykel induction cooktop. The master bedroom has a built-in mirrored closet and a private bath adorned with marble floor tiles and surfaces. The central bathroom also features a glass-walled shower with gray marble wall tiles.

Jackman's former Cavendish House apartment also features double glazed windows, central cooling, secure intercom, lift access and keyless entry. The Melbourne property is located near the Treasury Gardens and is close to the renowned Flinders Lane restaurants, Regent and Athenaeum theatres, and other city attractions.
