"Pretty Little Liars" Season 6 has finally put an end to the mystery surrounding the hooded villain.
On Tuesday night, the liars found out who "A" and Charles DiLaurentis is and it was revealed to be Cece Drake. In the past couple of seasons, Cece has made an appearance on the show and some fans have speculated that she could be "A." However, some fans also thought otherwise because they believed that "A" is a guy and not a girl.
In "Game Over, Charles," Alison came face-to-face with their tormentor and she was surprised to find out that the girl she once called her best friend was actually her sister.
Cece told Alison the entire story while Aria, Hanna, Emily, Spencer and Mona all watched via a digital screen. Cece's revelations solved countless mysteries on "Pretty Little Liars" that have been around for the past six seasons.
Ahead of the summer finale episode, "Pretty Little Liars" star Shay Mitchell told Variety that fans will finally know about "A." The actress added that the reveal wouldn't be fake, just like what happened during Season 5's finale.
"It all unfolds. You will find out who 'A' is toward the beginning of the episode and then the rest of the episode, it really is the story of 'A," she said.
Meanwhile, series creator Marlene King surprised fans on Tuesday night and a lot of them gushed over her on Twitter and Instagram. According to most fans, they were surprised that King finally told them the story and she was right in saying that the pieces will all fit together eventually.
"There are so many answers. It's crazy," she told the publication.
Other than "A's" identity, the identities of the Red Coat, Mrs. Cavanagh's killer and the Black Widow were all revealed, according to Design & Trend.
"Pretty Little Liars" Season 6 will return for the second half of the season in the next few months.
