It was just a month ago when Bethenny Frankel was reported to date Eric Stonestreet, and the rumors never went away. It was reported that she has been silently dating the "Modern Family" star but no one ever confirmed the truth behind all these headlines.
Luckily, when she was asked point blank on NBC's "Today" Tuesday, Bethenny had no choice but to say something about this news. However, rather than denying or confirming the rumors, she just said that she's playing the field. In the midst of answering the controversies, she was able to promote her latest project. She says, "I am dating and I am having a really good time... In my book, "I Suck at Relatioships", I talk about working the burners. You want something on simmer, something boiling, taken something off."
Because of this statement of hers, she was interrupted with the question, "Wait, do you have multiple burners going right now?"
Bethenny says, "I mean, I may be working the burners. I think that's what women should do. I mean, I haven't been that lucky in relationships, so it's going to be a while until I profess my undying love, but the Today show will be the first place that I tell if I have anything to tell, because you know I'm an open book,"
When Bethenny was asked about Eric Stonestreet, she simply responds that she doesn't have the habit of confirming or denying stuff. She compares rumors to roaches - once you confirm or deny them, you will have to kill them all. She continues by saying, "So, I'm just saying that I'm happy and in the fall I intend to be very, very sexually active."
The outspoken celebrity was able to face the dating rumors without actually admitting anything. Bethenny, has yet to finish her divorce, which is probably why confirming her love life isn't a very comfortable thing for her to talk about right now. She appeared on the show to promote the finale of "The Real Housewives Of New York City".
Her friends, however, were able to weigh in on the matter. LuAnn de Lessep says that she cannot picture out Bethenny with Eric. Not that she doesn't like Eric, she just can't imagine Eric and Bethenny as a couple. Patti Stanger on the other hand says, "They're both successful. They're both smart. It's great for her to get on the acting radar and say she's dating actors so she can jump up. It's a bit of social-climbing move. But Eric's a cool, Midwestern dude."
Bethenny however, confirmed that she is dating but she doesn't wanna say who she is seeing. She can only confirm that she is not in a serious relationship right now, just dating.
