Game developerTreyarch has revealed new details about "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3." The upcoming multiplayer beta will reportedly feature three new maps, new gameplay modes, and new Black Specialists. All these will be available once the video game's beta is released on PS4 on August 19, a report from IGN said on Wednesday.
"We hope that you're getting pumped for the Beta, because we certainly are - we can't wait to jump online with you and start playing some 'Black Ops 3.' While the Beta represents a fraction of what will be available in the final game, your feedback will help fine-tune the game and make for a better, smoother Day 1 for everyone. We figured that now would be a good time to start sharing exactly what's in store next week (Aug. 19) for PS4 owners that pre-ordered the game (as well as what Xbox One and PC fans can expect on August 26 when the Beta goes live for them)," said Treyarch as posted on its blog site.
According to Treyarch, the three multiplayer maps that will be featured in the beta are Hunted, Combine and Evac. Players can access these three maps since each map has been built from the ground up, specifically for the new momentum-based chained movement system.
The Hunted map is set on the lush Ethiopian mountains where players will be able to encounter rugged terrain and stealthy underwater pathway. The Combine map is set in the Egyptian Sahara desert while Evac was described as an emergency evacuation zone set in Singapore.
Players will also be able to choose different game modes, namely: Team Deathmatch, Domination, Demolition, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, Capture the Flag and Search & Destroy.
The beta is also expected to feature a Weapon Paintshop that will allow players to create custom graphics that will be displayed on the player's gun. All the weapons will have up to 64 layers which will be applied to the weapon's three sides. Players can also create their own signature variants.
The "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" is slated to be released on November 6. On August 26, the multiplayer beta will go live for those on PC and Xbox One gaming console platforms.
