Avid fans of "Mortal Kombat X" will now be able to see the faces of their favorite characters. A new PC mod has been introduced for the "Mortal Kombat X" video game which unmasks the faces of the characters by removing their headgear, a report from Gamespot said on Wednesday.
Gamespot noted that it is the first time that a PC mod has been introduced to reveal the faces of the "Mortal Kombat X" characters. The report said that a screenshot of the six characters have been exposed using the PC new mod, although some of the video game's characters fight with their faces covered.
According to IGN, a "Mortal Kombat X" YouTube video blogger named Dynasty has reportedly posted a video apparently revealing the real faces of the "Mortal Kombat X" video game characters. Dynasty's video has included playable characters such as Ferra Torr, Erron Black, Jason Voorhees, and Revenant Sub-Zero.
The faces of two non-playable characters, Rain and Smoke, have also been revealed. The YouTube video is said to be the only one that revealed the full features of the PC mod.
Meanwhile, both Rain and Smoke are said to be playable via a game's DLC in the future. However, Christian Today noted that "Mortal Kombat X" video game developer NetherRealm Studios has yet to announce the inclusion of both Smoke and Rain in the game.
"Mortal Kombat X" is the tenth installment in the video game franchise since 1992. The game was released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC gaming console platform in April.
