"The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 will introduce the woman who Leonard (Johnny Galecki) kissed while dating Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting). According to TV Line, the creators of the hit CBS series has tapped actress Michelle Tang to play the role of Mandy. Tang will appear in the second episode of the series this coming Season 9.
In Season 8, Leonard confessed about kissing a woman while he was dating Penny. Doing so made Penny doubt their relationship and there is a risk that their marriage will no longer push through.
Just recently, showrunner Steve Molaro confirmed that Season 9 will kick off just a few hours where Season 8 left off and said that Penny and Leonard's future will immediately be revealed.
According to official synopsis for the episode that was released by CBS, Penny and Leonard will walk down the aisle. However, whether or not they will say their "I Do's" is what fans need to watch out for next season.
Meanwhile, fans are also wondering whether or not Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy's (Mayim Bialik) engagement will push through. In Season 8, Amy ended her relationship with Sheldon after assuming that he wasn't serious about her.
However, it has been revealed that there's a huge chance that Amy and Sheldon will get back together in Season 9. It is still unclear though whether their reunion will take place in the premiere episode.
In other news, Bialik also hinted on the other highlights for the upcoming premiere episode and said that it will be a very funny one. On her Kveller blog she wrote, "It's a very funny episode. It doesn't tie everything up in a neat package; our show rarely does that. It's a lot of group scenes, and some really good one-on-one scenes as well."
"The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 will premiere on CBS on Sept. 21.
